Beckers Nevus
Camouflage
RARE DISORDERS CALL FOR RARE PRECISION
Beckers nevus is believed to be triggered to develop by the circulating androgens (male hormones such as testosterone), which is why it appears in males. Pigmentation can be reduced by pigment lasers and once the area has reached its full size (usually in young adulthood), it will very slowly begin to fade. Medical tattooing can dramatically reduce its appearance by lightening the affected areas.
Birthmarks
Camouflage
BLEND IN, STAND OUT WITH CONFIDENCE
There are two main categories of birthmarks - red colored and pigmented birthmarks. Red birthmarks are colored, vascular (having to do with blood vessels) skin markings that develop before or shortly after birth. Pigmented birthmarks are skin markings that are present at birth. Their color ranges from brown or black to bluish or blue-gray. Medical tattooing can and lighten all birthmarks to minimize its appearance cosmetically.
Hyperpigmentation
MAXIMIZE CONFIDENCE, MINIMIZE HYPERPIGMENTATION
Medical tattooing offers valuable benefits for hyperpigmentation patients by providing a non-invasive and effective solution to minimize the appearance of dark colored areas. Unlike scars, hyperpigmentation is a condition that occurs any time the skin is damaged and an overproduction of melanin occurs. With any procedure that breaks and damages the skin, new hyperpigmentation occurs. Fortunately, micropigmentation inks will outlast hyperpigmentation, resulting in a lighter, more balanced skin tone once fully healed.
Skin Graft
Camouflage
BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE
Skin grafts may be recommended for extensive wounds, burns, or specific surgeries that may require skin grafts for healing to occur. The most common sites of harvest for skin grafts are the buttocks and inner thigh, areas which are usually hidden and therefore cosmetically less important. However, the grafted area skin tones often do not match due the damage and loss of nerves in the area. Medical tattooing will improve skin grafts significantly by matching the surround skin areas.
Scar Reduction
Whether a scar is 10 years old or 1 year old, its appearance can be dramatically improved with a variation of non-invasive procedures by reducing its texture, inducing collagen and, of course, medical tattooing. Depending on the type of scar and skin condition, we can use a variety of techniques including dry needling, microneedling and plasma energy to improve most conditions. The following are different techniques and its improvement on various types of scars that can be improved cosmetically.
Chemical Burn Scars
SEAMLESS SOLUTIONS
While similar to fire burns, much of the damage of chemical burns occur below the surface of the skin. Minor burns can cause dark spots from hyperpigmentation while it heals and white areas when the melanin production no longer occurs. Major burns can cause the surface of the skin to "buckle" and harden up. Plasma can help by thinning down any hard tissue areas and remove dark hyperpigmented areas while dimpled areas can be improved with microneedling and dryneedling. Color can be corrected with medical tattooing to restore any lost melanin.
Fire Burn Scars
EMBRACING RENEWAL
Fire burn scars, akin to chemical burns, often inflict damage on the surface of the skin. It can be more devastating as damage to the skin occurs quickly and with much more damage. Minor burns may lead to hyperpigmented dark spots during healing, followed by white areas due to halted melanin production. Burn scars can be improved and camouflaged with a combination of procedures to minimize scar tissue and skin color.
Rhinoplasty
Scar Reduction
DON'T TRADE ONE SCAR FOR ANOTHER
Rhinoplasty surgeries are life changing and can drastically change a patient's look. However, scars from the surgery can be visible in some cases. This particular client had several deep pockets at the areas where the sutures came out. She has tried for years to get it to improve and surgery was not an option. We were able to improve the scars by leveling out the atrophic areas with plasma and microneedling. Color was added to blend the areas.
Trauma Scars
YOUR PAST TRAUMA IS BEST LEFT IN THE PAST
Many things in life happen when we least expect them to. Whether it's a fall as a child, an accidental burn or auto accident - things happen beyond our control. The trauma and physical damage can reach far beyond what we can imagine as most patients battle depression and acceptance. With the advancement in medical tattooing and cosmetic surgery, even the worst of scars can be dramatically improved. This client had multiple surgeries and tried multiple cosmetic procedures to improve her scars over the years. We were able to resurface her skin and scar tissue and did medical tattooing to improve the scar areas in just two sessions.
Keloid Scar
Reduction
YOUR BODY CONTROLS HOW YOU HEAL,
BUT YOU CONTROL HOW IT LOOKS
Any doctor can tell you that keloids are among the hardest scars to treat since anything that is done to it tends to have it flare up and come back. Most minor scars can be reduced and minimized with plasma since the damage is not significant compared to other techniques. This client's results improved with just one session and photos were taken post 8 weeks.
Atrophic Scar
Reduction
TEXTURE IS WHAT MAKES IT NOTICEABLE
Too often we have scars that heal beautifully with no issues with colors. However, the underlying scar tissue becomes thick and protrudes up. By thinning down the underlying scar tissue, most scars can be reduced up to 90%, making it less noticeable and taking away the excess thickness which makes atrophic scars so visible.
Cleft Lip
Reconstruction
SCARS ARE BUT CHAPTERS IN YOUR STORY
AWAITING THEIR BEAUTIFUL CONCLUSION
Medical tattooing plays a vital role in the comprehensive care of individuals born with cleft lip and palate conditions. By skillfully applying pigments to reconstruct the lip border or camouflage scars, medical tattooing helps enhance the facial aesthetics, contributing to a more harmonious appearance and improved self-esteem.

The client in the photo below underwent a scar reduction and plasma therapy to improve her upper lip scar. Medical tattooing was performed to color in her white scar on the lip to reduce the appearance of scarring. Hyaluronic filler was used to push out indentations in the upper lip and lip blush was performed to balance out her lip color.
